One Dev Ops com report says that the adoption of container platforms by organizations have surged in recent years. In one survey, 76 percent are using containers in production actively, while another 79 percent are running container technologies. The numbers are impressive, compared to last year’s figures which showed only 38 percent had deployed containers.
Many organizations have already heard of how container technologies can help them scale their operations, solve their problems in enterprise agility, and accelerate the deployment of technology without incurring too many expenses. Yet this knowledge is cursory. Organization heads still want to know many important things, like container platforms’ difference from virtualization, security features, and compatibility with operating solutions.
